Yahrzeits at the NMAJMH

The National Museum of American Jewish Military History (NMAJMH) in Washington D.C. has a program for memorializing Jewish veterans who are no longer with us.

The museum has an electronic yahrzeit board where names are displayed on a video screen in the museum exhibit area and also on the Yahrzeit web page on the date of the yahrzeit. The information may also be accessed any day of the year by doing a search of the database. Vital information of birth and death, along with background on the individual’s affiliation with JWV and/or the U.S. Armed Forces, are included.

A donation of $100 covers a lifetime listing, which includes a photograph, if supplied, and a short bio. All donations go directly to support the museum.

To sign up for the program, you can fill out an online application at their website, or download a PDF form to mail in.
