Honoring the 4 Chaplains

In 1998 Congress declared that February 3rd would be known as Four Chaplains Day in honor of the four chaplains aboard the USS Dorchester who gave their lives to save others who were fleeing the sinking ship.

The WorldNetDaily has an editorial that recaps most of the events that took place that day in 1943. The article also focuses on the importance of remembering these selfless heroes each year (so go read it!).

Last year we reported on a documentary from the Hallmark Channel that recounts the actions of the Chaplains.
