Supreme Court won’t hear Army engineer’s case

The JTA reports that the U.S. Supreme Court rejected the case of David Tenenbaum, an engineer at the U.S. Army Tank Automotive and Armaments Command.

Tenenbaum claimed he was subjected to 11 years of investigations and discrimination because he was Jewish and was feared to be spying for Israel. Tenenbaum tried suing the Army for discrimination, but lower courts as well as the Supreme Court ruled that the Army could not properly defend itself without revealing sensitive national security information.

The case has been somewhat of a controversial one because it is believed that David Tenenbaum was singled out simply because he was a religious Jew. The cas has been around for a number of years, and quite a bit has been written about it. If you are interested, you can read the JTA story here, and you can find a collection of articles here too.
