Coasties & The Lost Ark

The Coast Guard (unfortunately) doesn’t get very much coverage on JIG, which makes the following story all the more unique:

Thousands of people saw the movie “Raiders of the Lost Ark”, and most of them knew that Indiana Jones was based on a real person, famous archaeologist Dr. Vendyl Jones. Less well-known is another charismatic contender, who believes he will be the first to uncover the hiding place of this fabulous prize. He was recently in Jerusalem, and his name is Lt. Barry S. Roffman of the U.S. Coast Guard.

Lt Roffman has written a book, Ark Code, about his ideas concerning the Ark’s location (which actually has received some good reviews on Amazon.com). A recent Jewish Press article details the Hollywood-movie-like story of the two treasure hunters.

Roffman`s research is unique, quite different from methods used by other Bible code researchers. It is rooted in his expertise as a Coast Guard military planner. He has explanations as to why Jeremiah took the Ark to the site of the splitting of the sea, and believes that the Ark`s purpose is to prevent a nuclear war between Israel and its enemies.

You can learn more about Roffman’s search at biblecodenews.com.

I just read through the website’s PPT on the Ark Code. It is fascinating stuff. It’s either the truth or an amazing number of coincidences. I hope he goes and tries to verify the findings in his book, soon.

  • If you search for enough word patterns in The Ark Code itself, you’ll eventually find clues to Lt Roffman’s ATM PIN number.

I’d say more, but their reading my brain waves. I better put on my aluminum foil helmet now.
