On November 11, 2014, the National Museum of American Jewish Military History will be holding a Veterans Day celebration for the opening of their new core exhibit: Jews in the American Military.

The museum will be open from 1 to 5 PM. The dedication of the exhibit will be at 3 PM with refreshments to follow.

From New Amsterdam in 1654 to Afghanistan today, American Jews have taken up arms to defend their communities and serve their country. Through historical artifacts and multimedia interactives, explore where, when, and how Jews served in our nation’s military. Learn about the challenges they confronted, and the ways in which they shaped – and were shaped by – service in the American armed forces.
